Blue Archive continues to respond to fans on localization

Blue Archive fans keep winning, Nexon has rolled out some localization fixes after fans organized on the official Discord.

The localization in question altered a line from Kiryuu Kikyou, a new student who has a one-off line where she mentions wanting to stay close to Sensei to feel their body heat.

Blue Archive has regularly been subject to localization choices which play down the intimacy between the playable Sensei and their students. Notable examples include the time Sensei affectionately calling Misono Mika a “princess” was altered, as well as a playful Christmas line with Asagi Mutsuki who suggests Sensei should “unwrap” her as their present.

However while these mistakes have been made, Blue Archive has been refreshingly receptive to fan feedback. In the early days of the game’s global release, the company decided to split the app in two with an all-ages censored version in order to also release an uncensored version. Originally the game was censored in the global release, most noticeably with a closely cropped CG to avoid showing a character’s naked body.

Blue Archive is available now on mobile devices. You can check out our review here! (as far as mobile games go, we still recommend it!) An anime series also premiered this season.
