Cookbook location in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

legendary cookbook location Paper Mario Thousand-Year Door

We’ve got the location for the legendary cookbook in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door right here if you need it.

After clearing Chapter 4 of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, you’ll unlock a request at the Trouble Center called “Seeking legendary cookbook”. Once you complete this request, you can use two ingredients at Zess T.’s shop instead of just one. This lets you cook and then unlock the rest of the 58 recipes present in the Recipe Book in the journal section of the menu. To do this, you’ll need to obtain a legendary cookbook that you can find in the Creepy Steeple. Fortunately, there’s now a shortcut pipe that leads there in one of the houses in Twilight Town, so getting there is super easy.

As Zess T. tells you, the cookbook location is inside of the Creepy Steeple. More specifically, you’ll need to enter through the front door and then look against the north wall – there’s a hole right here that you can enter with Tube Mode to find the legendary cookbook. It’s inside a chest in this room. Once you’ve got the cookbook, you can enter the shortcut pipe back to Twilight Town (or fight some Amazy Dayzees on the way back for good experience) to give it to Zess T. From there, you’ll unlock the ability to cook the rest of the 58 possible recipes present in the game.
