Here’s a tip for the overzealous, naïve, bandwagon jumpers. When rushing in to join the cause du jour, please try to educate yourselves and, just as importantly, learn to spell.

These recent revolutionaries at the University of Ottawa have embarrassed both their institution and their cause with their ill-informed and misspelled vandalism. “Free Palastine” spray-painted on the steps of Tabaret Hall shows not only the shallowness of their convictions, but disrespect for those they claim to support.

Next time, try this: Free Palestine-Eradicate Hamas. Simple, succinct and also spell-checked.

RECKLESS ON POLICE OFFICERS’ PART

The officers involved in the horrific chase that resulted in the deaths of the suspect and three innocent people, including an infant, must answer for their actions. Whether or not the pursuit was called off before it ended up on Canada’s busiest highway going the wrong way is inconsequential.

These officers had to know that by continuing to go after the suspect cube van in the opposite direction on the 401 was reckless and displayed a complete disregard for public safety.

RATS RESULT OF …

I would surmise that Ottawa’s rat problem is the result of several things: the first being the city’s decision to only pick up garbage every second week and the second being the never-ending construction for the LRT. Both of those are huge in aiding and abetting an invasion of those critters. I would also like to say that it could be the result of Liberals leaving the sinking ship that is their party.
