Red Dead Redemption 2 Undead Nightmare Concept

Others in the thread made sure to share their frustration at Rockstar, for leaving money on the table by not creating an Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s certainly undeniable that the increased map size and new mechanics would make for some interesting moments, but there is one way to see what it might look like for real. A while back, a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod added Undead Nightmare zombies to the game, and alongside fan concepts, this is likely the closest players will get to such an experience.

Naturally, any talk of a sequel to Red Dead Redemption 2 will often be followed by the possibility of Undead Nightmare returning in the next game. Some even feel that Red Dead Redemption 3 should skip straight to Undead Nightmare, although this would be such a change of pace that it seems like an unlikely pipe dream. That said, with Rockstar skipping the concept in Red Dead Redemption 2, it’d certainly be nice to see it return in any future sequel. With Grand Theft Auto 6 first on Rockstar’s list of priorities, it’ll likely be some time before any realistic talk of Red Dead Redemption 3 – and by extension, a new Undead Nightmare – can begin.
