One gamer took to Reddit to showcase just how popular one game is. The amount of hours spent playing Palworld recently is almost unparalleled. It is, to put it simply, one of the most popular games of the moment, and it has an insane stat to back that up. With jeers of “it will be dead in a month” flying in from detractors, Palworld players just can’t believe how well the game is doing right now.

Players can’t believe how many hours are spent playing Palworld

If you ever doubted that people genuinely love Palworld and that it is not just a flash in the pan Pokémon rip-off, look no further. This Reddit post from u/AwareContribution700 details just how much time has has been spent playing Palworld.

Players have spent over 573 million hours on the game. That’s pretty much the most of any game. It’s more than Helldivers 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex Legends, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, PUBG, GTA V, Lethal Company, and so many others in the last month, which are the parameters for this metric. In terms of peak players, Palworld has more than pretty much everyone on this list there, too.

One user joked that most of that time is spent waiting for eggs to hatch. That does take a lot of time, but a lot of players are also spending that time building their base and catching Pals, so there’s a ton of genuine time spent playing this game.

u/imak10521 said simply, “I literally cannot stop playing lmao.” u/DOE_ZELF_NORMAAL added that it’s really easy to sink countless hours into the game, “I started playing with a friend. The last time I had this feeling with a game where you’re playing, not realising it’s already 1am and you have to get up at 6 is when Factorio came out.”

u/Existing365Chocolate also pointed out that this is just Steam numbers. Xbox is the other platform for Palworld, the one I myself use, and those players aren’t even accounted for here. It’s safe to say that Palworld has captured the gaming industry with a firm grip right now. Will they be able to keep it up?
