Sony conducted their first State of Play of 2024 last week, and already we are getting their second exhibition of the year. Rather than focusing on multiple different games coming out soon, this showcase will focus exclusively on FF7 Rebirth. Here is the start time for the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play event in PT, ET, UK GMT along with how to watch live.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is one of the most heavily anticipated games coming out this year, but there’s plenty else to anticipate for PS5 gamers. PlayStation gamers can preload the free Skull and Bones open beta right now, Square Enix’s Foamstars has joined PS Plus as a free-to-play day-one launch, and the release time for Helldivers 2 is quickly approaching.
While all of the above is exciting, the FF7 Rebirth State of Play is even bigger as it will bring the release of a free-to-play demo.
When does the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play start?
The start date and time for the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play showcase is 3:30 PM PT/ 6:30 PM ET/ 11:30 PM UK GMT on February 6th. All of these launch hours come courtesy of the PlayStation Blog.
There’s no mention of how long the event will last, but it will presumably be 30 minutes. Sony only mentions that we are getting an ‘extended look’ at the game, and hopefully, this means there will be a new trailer accompanied by lengthy gameplay.

How to watch the FF7 Rebirth showcase
You will be able to watch the event live on the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels. Not only that, but you will also be able to catch the event on TikTok. In addition, some of your favorite streamers will likely be conducting watchalongs on either YouTube or Twitch.
What’s most exciting about the upcoming showcase is that it will be immediately followed by the release of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo according to a leak from Sony. According to the leak, players will be able to step into the shoes of either Cloud or Sephiroth.
