A List Of Seeds And Where To Find Them

Every isolated commune of like-minded believers needs a farming plot, and the Cult of the Lamb is no exception. The humble little Farming Plot is one of the first structures that the Lamb will be able to build in the headquarters, and it’s useless without seeds to plant. Buildings like Scarecrows will help guard the newly planted crops against hungry birds, while seed Silos and Farmer Stations motivate followers to do the planting and harvesting.

By the time the friendly NPC Ratau appears to gift the main character with suitable space for their new temple and cult dwellings, they’ll already have a few seeds tucked in their cloven hooves. All plants require the same level of care and watering without the fuss of placing them in certain areas or harvesting them at different times. Best to get them planted and cultivated as much as possible to be used for cooking, building, and other spiritual diversions.

Updated January 28, 2024, by Kristy Ambrose: In the years since Cult of the Lamb was first released, there have been several smaller bug fixes, DLCs, and new content added with the new Sins of the Flesh update. More buildings, Rites, Doctrines, and crafting options also mean more seeds for the farm. In fact, with the new choices available, you can build a vineyard or a field of hops next to the new Drinkhouse, Drum Circle, and Mating Tent. There’s also the Tailor, which requires materials that can be grown on the Farm. And of course, there are new Seeds, and this article has been updated to include them.

Cut down grown Camellia plants to collect both blossoms and seeds for this decorative plant. It’s one of the first seeds the Lamb will find on their travels, and is common in Darkwood. The seed icon consists of a smaller red and black blossom and two red seeds.

The mature Camellia Plant is a great way to beautify the cult compound with decorations and flower beds, but it’s also an essential component of the Healing Bay. Once the Healing Bay is built, it costs a certain amount of Camellia blossoms to heal a sick cultist. In addition to first aid, it’s also one of the ingredients needed for the Fruit Elixir.

The Cauliflower seed is commonly found after the Lamb has defeated Seket, the ruler of Anura. Follow the Food icon when Crusading to find a crop of these hearty vegetables and some useful seeds. The Seed Vendor outside Anchordeep also has them.

Cauliflower seeds look like the smaller version of their bigger counterparts. They are the main ingredient in some higher-level dishes that keep Cultists happy and healthy. One example is Cheery Cauliflower Chowder, which has a 25% chance of causing the follower who eats it to drop resources instead of poop, and it only has a 5% chance of causing illness.

A New Item For The Tailor

Cotton isn’t as useful as food, but it’s still an important crop for one of the new buildings, the Tailor. As the Lamb goes Crusading, they’ll come across some new blueprints. But these are patterns for clothing, and they can be unlocked or found in several ways.

Cotton seeds can be purchased from the vendor outside Anchordeep, or picked up during the Crusades. The seeds look like smaller versions of the full-size plants, but without stems. Follow these icons or look for smaller ones that have several mixed veggie symbols.

The Lamb will start to pick these up as they venture into the rotting forests of Anura, where the mushrooms are plentiful. This is also when players discover Spore Grotto and its leader, Sozo, where the mushrooms and their spores can be bought or traded for other valuable items.

The mushroom spore icon looks like several smaller versions of full-grown Menticide Mushrooms. They drop not only from the mushrooms cut down in the Crusades, but also the Mushroomos, the followers of Sozo, should players choose to attack them.

Unlike other seeds that can be used as a cooking regent, mushrooms are used to make decorative structures and perform special rituals. The Brainwashing Ritual is a gift from Sozo after the Lamb brings him an offering of 20 mushrooms. It’s possible to gather them, but easier to acquire them by growing a generous amount in the compound’s seed plot.
