How to Ship Every Item

One of the challenges of Stardew Valley is to ship every item. This doesn’t actually mean “every item,” it just means all the items found in the “Items Shipped (Farm and Forage)” section of the Collections tab. That’s not to say this list is short or easy to complete: it includes 145 items, including some that only appear on Ginger Island or in the dangerous mines.

Fortunately, Stardew Valley keeps track of which items you’ve shipped and which ones you haven’t, with unshipped items appearing as a silhouette. This guide will help players figure out what they’re missing and then explain how to get every last item on the list.

The List

First, it’s important to understand that items will only appear on the “Items Shipped” list if you throw them into a shipping crate. Anything sold to a merchant or tossed into the inventory’s trashcan won’t count, even if you get a good price for it. However, using a constructed shipping crate or mini crate does count.

Second, the items on the list are in a somewhat random order. While some item types are grouped together, you can’t always guess what a silhouetted item is based on the items next to it.

Finally, quality and quantity have no impact on this challenge. All you have to do is ship one example of each item to get the “Full Shipment” achievement and get one step closer to perfecting the game. You can even ship items you buy from the traveling merchant instead of farming or foraging them yourself.

The following tables list the name of each item based on where it appears on the “Items Shipped” list. The later sections focus on each of the item categories and how to get everything.

Crops

The “Items Shipped” list includes every last crop you can plant on your farm. Unless noted otherwise, you can buy all the crops listed from Pierre, JojaMart, or both.

Spring Crops

• Blue Jazz
• Cauliflower
• Green Bean
• Kale
• Parsnip
• Potato
• Tulip
• Unmilled Rice (processed rice like what Pierre sells doesn’t count)
• Coffee Bean (can only buy from Traveling Cart, rarely get from dust sprite)

• Strawberry (can only buy from Pierre during the Egg Festival)

• Ancient Fruit (find and donate an Ancient Seed to Gunther to get plantable version; grows during most seasons but dies in winter)
• Cactus Fruit (can only buy from Oasis in Calico Desert; must plant inside, in greenhouse, or on island farm)
• Fiber (must get crafting recipe by completing “Community Cleanup” special order; plants grow during all seasons)
• Pineapple (dropped by Ginger Island enemies and sold by Island Trader for 1 Magma Cap each; grows year-round on island but only in summer on home farm)
• Taro Root (dropped by Ginger Island enemies and sold by Island Trader for 2 Bone Fragments; grows year-round on island but only in summer on home farm)
• Tea Leaves (must get crafting recipe by entering the door in Pierre and Caroline’s kitchen after reaching 2 hearts with Caroline; grows in all seasons but doesn’t produce outdoors in winter)

Forage

Most forage items spawn randomly throughout Stardew Valley during the proper season, but a few of them follow unique rules that can make them harder to find.

Year-Round Forage

• Fiber (chop green plants using any tool)
• Sap (cut down maple, oak, palm, and pine trees)

Spring Forage

• Daffodil
• Dandelion
• Leek
• Wild Horseradish
• Salmonberry (interact with red bushes Spring 15 to 18)
• Spring Onion (check bare dirt patches south of the river in Cindersap Forest)

Summer Forage

• Grape (also a fall crop)
• Spice Berry
• Sweet Pea

Fall Forage

• Blackberry (can also get by interacting with purple bushes Fall 8 to 11)
• Common Mushroom
• Hazelnut
• Wild Plum

Winter Forage

• Crocus
• Crystal Fruit
• Holly
• Snow Yam (must dig wormy soil)
• Winter Root (must dig wormy soil)

Other forage items only appear in specific areas, though what appears can also depend on the time of year.

Beach Forage

Mussels, Oysters, and Cockles also appear on the beach, but they count as fish caught instead of forage.

• Clam
• Coral (only on far side of broken plank)
• Sea Urchin (only on far side of broken plank)
• Rainbow Shell (summer only)
• Nautilus Shell (winter only)

Secret Woods Forage

You can reach the Secret Woods by breaking the log on the west end of Cindersap Forest with a steel or better axe. Forage items found in the rest of the valley can appear in the Secret Forest, along with other, rarer items.

• Morel (spring only)
• Fiddlehead Fern (summer only)
• Red Mushroom (summer and fall only)
• Chanterelle (fall only)

Calico Desert Forage

Both the Calico Desert and Ginger Island experience no seasonal changes, so you can find all the forage items in these locations year-round.

• Cactus Fruit
• Coconut (on the ground and also knocked from palm trees)

Ginger Island Forage

• Coconut (knocked from palm trees)
• Fiddlehead Fern (in the Jungle area)
• Ginger (must use the hoe to collect)
• Mushrooms (all five varieties randomly appear in Dig Site cave)

Tree Produce

Along with seasonal crops, Pierre also sells fruit tree saplings. There are two for each growing season, and an extra two you can find on Ginger Island. The Ginger Island trees are both summer trees, but all fruit trees will produce year-round if you plant them on the Ginger Island farm.

You can also create a tree farm using acorns, maple seeds, pine cones, and mahogany seeds. Wood and hardwood aren’t on the shipping list, but sap and the special materials you get from tapping these trees are.

• Banana (buy from the Island Trader for five Dragon Teeth or find in a Golden Coconut)
• Mango (buy from the Island Trader for 75 mussels or find in a Golden Coconut)

• Sap (attach tapper to mahogany tree)

Animal Products

You’ll need to build at least one deluxe coop and one deluxe barn to complete the shipping list. You’ll also need a couple of rare animals you have to find through exploration, so leave some room in both buildings. The only animal you don’t need to buy is the sheep, because rabbits also produce wool.

Barn Animal Products

• Milk (Cow)
• Large Milk (Cow) (friendly cows are more likely to produce Large Milk, but you still need to ship regular milk at least once)
• Goat Milk
• Large Goat Milk
• Wool
• Truffle (pigs can spawn on empty outside square, more when happy)
• Ostrich Egg (complete Journal Scrap 10 to find one, or search chests in Volcano Dungeon; learn how to build Ostrich Incubator by completing all of Professor Snail’s tasks)

Coop Animal Products

• Egg (Brown) (comes from brown chickens)
• Egg (White) (comes from white chickens)
• Large Egg (Brown) (comes from happy brown chickens)
• Large Egg (White) (comes from happy white chickens)
• Void Egg (comes from Void Chicken, the result of a rare event; can also buy a Void Egg from Krobus in the Sewer and use it in an incubator to hatch a Void Chicken)
• Duck Egg
• Duck Feather (rare alternate drop from a happy duck)
• Wool
• Rabbit’s Foot (rare alternate drop from a happy rabbit)

You can also raise a dinosaur by placing a dinosaur egg in an incubator, but dinosaur eggs count as artifacts and aren’t on the “Items Shipped” list.

Fish Pond

Each fish pond accepts one type of fish or shellfish at a time. The harvested produce from a fish pond is random, and each fish has its own specific list of items that can appear each morning. One of these items is almost always Roe, and a fish pond is the only way to produce Roe.

You don’t need to build a slime hutch to complete the shipping list.

Dungeon Mining and Foraging

Several of the items on the shipping list only appear in one of the game’s three dungeons, or else that’s the most likely place to find them.

Ores and Bars

• Copper Ore (found most often in copper nodes in the Mines, floors 1-39)
• Copper Bar (add five Copper Ores and a Coal to a Furnace)
• Iron Ore (found most often in iron nodes in the Mines, floors 40-79)
• Iron Bar (add five Iron Ores and a Coal to a Furnace)
• Gold Ore (found most often in gold nodes in the Mines, floors 80-120)
• Gold Bar (add five Gold Ores and a Coal to a Furnace)
• Iridium Ore (found most often in iridium nodes in the Skull Cavern and Volcano Dungeon)
• Iridium Bar (add five Iridium Ores and a Coal to a Furnace)
• Radioactive Ore (found most often in radioactive nodes during Qi quests or in the Dangerous Mines)
• Radioactive Bar (add five Radioactive Ores and a Coal to a Furnace)
• Coal (found by breaking ordinary rocks, can also craft from 10 Wood in a Charcoal Kiln)
• Refined Quartz (add one Quartz or Fire Quartz and a Coal to a Furnace, or throw a Broken CD or Broken Glasses into a Recycling Machine)
• Clay (till the soil anywhere with the hoe and Clay will sometimes appear)
• Cinder Shard (found in cinder shard nodes and dropped by magma enemies)

You can also find most of the above materials by processing geodes. The biggest exception is Radioactive Ore, which you can only get by visiting the dangerous version of the Mines or the Skull Cavern. You also won’t find Cinder Shards outside of the Volcano Dungeon.

Monster Loot

The “Items Shipped” list includes all five of the monster loot items that you can only get by slaying enemies in one of the game’s dungeons.

• Slime (dropped by slimes, naturally)
• Bug Meat (dropped by bugs, cave flies, grubs, armored bugs)
• Bat Wing (dropped by bats)
• Solar Essence (dropped by ghosts, metal heads, mummies, squid kids, haunted skulls, blue squids)
• Void Essence (dropped by void spirits, haunted skulls, serpents, spiders)

Dungeon Forage

Even dungeons have forage items you can grab if you keep your eyes open.

• Red Mushroom (throughout the Mines)
• Purple Mushroom (on floors 80 to 120 in the Mines and the Skull Cavern)
• Cave Carrot (till dirt patches in the Mines using the hoe, particularly on floors 10 through 20; also a common enemy drop and found in destructible crates throughout the Mines)
• Magma Cap (throughout the Volcano Dungeon)

Several other forage items listed above can also appear in the dungeons, particularly the Dangerous Mines.

Artisan Goods

The last item category you need to ship is “artisan goods.” By adding farm produce to certain machines, you can sell your goods for a higher price and complete the “Items Shipped” list in the process.

Bee House

• Honey (creates a special type of honey if there are fully bloomed flowers nearby, or the less valuable Wild Honey if there aren’t; any type of honey works for the “Items Shipped” list)

Cheese Press

• Cheese (Cow) (both Milk and Large Milk work)
• Goat Cheese (requires Goat Milk or Large Goat Milk)

Keg

• Beer (add Wheat, not Flour)
• Coffee (add five Coffee Beans)
• Green Tea (add one set of Tea Leaves)
• Juice (add a vegetable)
• Mead (add any Honey)
• Pale Ale (add Hops)
• Wine (add a fruit)

Loom

Mayonnaise Machine

• Mayonnaise (add a Brown Egg, White Egg, or Ostrich Egg)
• Duck Mayonnaise (add a Duck Egg)
• Void Mayonnaise (add a Void Egg)
• Dinosaur Mayonnaise (Dinosaur Eggs are artifacts, but Dinosaur Mayonnaise is farm produce)

Oil Maker

• Truffle Oil (add a Truffle)
• Oil (add Corn, Sunflowers, or Sunflower Seeds; Oil isn’t on the “Items Shipped” list)

Preserves Jar

• Pickles (add a vegetable)
• Jelly (add a fruit)
• Aged Roe (add almost any fish roe)
• Caviar (add Sturgeon Roe)

Both Caviar and Aged Roe are on the shipping list, so you’ll need to either build two fish ponds or restock one fish pond with sturgeon and some other fish.

Players are likely to get through most of the shipping list if they decide to tackle the Community Center challenge instead of joining Joja, but some of the items on the list are hard to get even after completing all the bundles. But those who complete this challenge will get an achievement and one step closer to the reward for perfection.
