An Overwatch 2 fan has created a life-sized Reinhardt hammer that towers over them. Reinhardt remains a popular Overwatch 2 Tank hero, and this gamer is seemingly a fan given the effort they put into making his weapon.

When Overwatch 2 was released, many heroes were carried over from the original game. Among the Tank heroes in the first title that made it to the sequel was Reinhardt. While his abilities were largely the same, the Overwatch character received a visual makeover. As part of the changes, Reinhardt’s passive ability and health and armor changed, and the character grew a beard. One thing that didn’t change much is the hammer that Reinhardt uses to attack nearby enemies. This player has commemorated the Tank hero with a real-life hammer that hints at how big the character truly is.

Overwatch 2 Survey Reveals Dozens of Potential New Skins

An Overwatch 2 player shares a gallery of concept art featuring dozens of potential new skin ideas that appeared in a survey they received.

Reddit user DansJungle recently shared two photos of their Reinhardt hammer and a person for scale. Based on its features, the hammer resembles Reinhardt’s weapon with the Cardboard skin equipped. It’s notably different from the base weapon with the head of the hammer which doesn’t have some gold pieces that are part of the standard one. The hammer is 10.5 feet tall, and it’s scaled to the size of the in-game weapon. Just like in Overwatch 2, this hammer has a head that resembles a revolver chamber, with three holes in the back that reflect the rockets used to help Reinhardt wield it. There’s text on the weapon shaft with numbers and letters which are black instead of the red lettering on the official skin.

According to DansJungle, the hammer is made of cardboard, and it has gray details that were 3D printed. With so much cardboard used on the hammerhead, there’s a recycling logo visible underneath another that says “Zerbrechlich” which translates to fragile or frail. The former indicates that the real-life Reinhardt weapon has some adjustments and isn’t precisely like the Overwatch 2 model. Some details use red Solo cups, and the hammer shaft appears heavily taped. While the length of the handle is what makes Reinhardt’s hammer so tall, one photo highlights that the head is also massive. Although the angle makes it hard to judge just how big it is, the hammerhead appears to be about half the size of the person holding it.

While Overwatch 2‘s Reinhardt has many variant skins, his Cardboard skin doesn’t have an identical hammer to this one. There are Golden and Hard Light hammer variants, but this fan has only replicated the Cardboard skin’s weapon.
