New Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Review Bombed by Angry Players

Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is getting review-bombed on Steam. Players are not liking what they have received and many are calling it “DLC” from the previous game. These are harsh words but it appears that many are agreeing on the reasoning.

There is a lot of feedback from players highlighting issues they feel the game has on Steam. Many of them agree that the biggest issues are that you can’t play with friends at launch and there are barely any changes and new characters.

Regarding the multiplayer, apparently, there is no online custom matchmaking at launch. Some fans found this “unacceptable” since one of the driving points of the Naruto games lately has been the multiplayer action. Not having it at launch is a big blow to the community.

Sure, there’s what seems to be a lack of content. Still, it’s hard to retell a story and not have it be the same every single time. Naruto is a great show to watch but Dragon Ball games started making their own stories for a good reason. Players tend to get tired of the same story being retold and end up not liking it when it’s not done to its fullest.

The review bombing has been swift, with 491 reviews being mostly negative. Many aren’t even saying the game is bad, and are instead advising to wait until the game goes on sale. This means that it’s not the quality that is poor, but mostly the price for what players are receiving.

Here is a review that has a lot of attention but goes over what many have said:

“Let me make this quick for you:

  • It’s completely unacceptable to release a multiplayer fighting game in 2023 where you can’t play with your friends.
  • The history mode is the worst of any storm game
  • The game only adds about 10ish new characters not including the season pass
  • The game is essentially a dlc for Storm 4

Save your money, buy this when it’s on sale for like $20.”

Having played the Ninja Storm games, I’d say to wait for multiplayer as well, as that’s where the fun is at.
