King Arthur: Knight’s Tale Sets February 22 Release Date for PS5 & Xbox Series X|S

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, a unique turn-based tactical RPG, is finally coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on February 22, 2024. Developed by NeocoreGames, King Arthur: Knights Tale was first launched for PC via Steam in April 2022.

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale immerses players in a modern retelling of a classic Arthurian mythology story filtered through the dark fantasy tropes, a twist on the traditional tales of chivalry. It features a hybrid between turn-based tactical games and traditional, character-centric RPGs. The game challenges players to manage a team of heroes on the dangerous battlefield, while also engaging in moral choices, hero management, and the rebuilding of Camelot.

In King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, players will take on the role of Sir Mordred, the former black knight of the grim tales. Mordred was brought back to life after a fateful battle with Arthur that resulted in their mutual demise. Arthur, resurrected in Avalon, is now an undying mad king, while Mordred finds him to put an end to his life and accursed condition.

As they navigate a land of nightmares, players will gather their knights and send them on quests involving deep, tactical battles. They will assemble a team of heroes, selecting from six classes—Defender, Champion, Marksman, Vanguard, Arcanist, and Sage. To gain an advantage in battles, players must level up these heroes, earn unique skill points, and equip the best items looted from missions. Players must also ensure that Camelot has the necessary facilities to rehabilitate their vulnerable heroes.

Following its initial PC release, King Arthur: Knight’s Tale received a positive reception for its gritty and dark fantasy take on the Arthurian Legend, coupled with its engaging blend of RPG mechanics and turn-based strategy. Finally, console players can look forward to experiencing King Arthur: Knight’s Tale when it launches on their platforms next year.
