Experis Game Solutions staff are pursuing unionization

Staff at video game services firm Experis Game Solutions are seeking to unionize.

Experis Game Solutions was founded in 2009 and offers its services to various publishers and developers.

As reported by Urban Milwaukee, employees filed for union election with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) last week. The game testers are organizing with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW).

Securing a family-supporting wage was listed as a top priority among their reasons for forming a union.

“Many were drawn to their jobs at Experis because of their desire to work in the video game industry, only to be faced with burnout and a struggle to cover basic living expenses,” said the IAMAW.

“Other problems that Experis workers want addressed by management are the frequency of misleading information provided by job recruiters and the lack of clear communication channels to address workplace issues.”

The news comes weeks after over 100 employees at Just Cause maker Avalanche Studios formed a union.
