Prepare to watch the only worthwhile reality show as CookieRun: Kingdom announces Last Cookie Standing

In what is somehow one of the greatest, most amusing ideas I have heard in a long time, Devsisters USA has announced the first web series based on the iconic CookieRun franchise; Last Cookie Standing. Twelve biscuit brethren will be stranded on the Tropical Soda Island in a survival competition to see which cookie with be the last to crumble.

To avoid any continuity blunders, Last Cookie Standing is set in an alternate timeline to the CookieRun games, however, Devsistsers has stated it will retain the same style of humour fans have come to love. In fact, there is no doubt it will be funnier without the restraints of having to fit into gameplay or plots.

Last Cookie Standing will have twelve tough cookies from across Earthbread, and so far we have the profiles of four of them, delivered in quite the amusing trailer it must be said. My personal bet on the first to fall, even without seeing the other eight, is Madeleine Cookie, voiced by Yakuza and JoJo’s Bizare Adventure veteran Yong Yea. Knight Commander of the Paladins of the Creme Republic may sound impressive, and somehow incredibly amusing, but their arrogance will no doubt lead to them being eaten by a bear.

Rye Cookie is a western-themed Bounty Hunter with that charming, grammatically all-over-the-map vernacular, whose skill with a gun could prove to be vital to winning. She also has the honour of being voiced by recent Genshin Impact alumni Amber Lee Connors. Joining her is another miHo cast member, Dani Chambers. Voicing Caramel Arrow Cookie, she is much more articulate and seems to be very capable and to the point, which will no doubt help in the desert.

Our final introduction is with Tea Knight Cookie, a member of the eponymous order. Although old and retired, his experience against foes as mightly as dragons will make surviving on this island a piece of cake. Yet another voice actor from miHo, unsurprising they are quite massive, English gamers may recognise Jason Marnocha’s commanding voice from Honkai: Star Rail, as Captian Dunn.

Last Cookie Standing will debut in early November and run weekly on the CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube channel.
