Spirit of the Island Launches October 19 on Consoles

PID Games has officially announced that the life simulation sandbox RPG, Spirit of the Island, will finally make its way to various console platforms, including PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S, on October 19th. The game originally launched in August 2022, published by META Publishing, for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.

Developed by 1 Million Bits Horde, Spirit of the Island, takes players to a remote island nestled deep within a tropical archipelago. Players will be tasked to bring back the once prosperous tourist destination to its former glory while they build their homebound. As they explore the Archipelago, players will meet the locals who will lend them a hand to restore the former tourist paradise.

Upon settling on the island, players will need to build their place, gather food sources, and some resources to build a farm, to kickstart their tropical journey. Regardless of how they choose to spend their time, players will gain experience and improve their skills, unlocking new recipes, engaging in animal husbandry, and improving their efficiency in all tasks.

As the island flourishes into a popular tourist destination, players may sell local produce or open museums to display the treasures and secrets they have uncovered on their adventures. Some tourists may even opt to stay on the island, adding to the town’s population. Later on, players may hire these new residents to help them maintain the island.

Spirit of the Island features a vast tropical archipelago with 14 unique explorable islands, each with its own fauna, secrets, and dangers. The archipelago is inhabited by more than 14 unique characters, each with their own distinct traits and quirks. Over time, players may build relationships with these characters, forming friendships or even romantic connections. Spirit of the Island also features a two-player cooperative mode, allowing players and their friends to explore and manage the island together.

Spirit of the Island is now available to wishlist on the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store.
