It has officially been six years since Cuphead was released on Xbox, which is being seen as an occasion to celebrate by developer Studio MDHR. As part of the anniversary of the hit arcade title, the developer is giving a unique look at behind-the-scenes pictures, sketches, and more info inside a new gallery in the game.

Studio MDHR made the announcement in a blog post before sharing the celebration announcement on Twitter. The new mode is available on Windows 10 versions of the title and Xbox consoles, showing everything from character animations to the early designs of both Mugman and Cuphead. While there’s no playable content in the game, the developer clearly put a lot of attention into crafting the interface.

In the blog post celebrating this anniversary, the developer gives a better look at the different images and interactive features in the new update. In typical style from MDHR, the menus have been lovingly crafted to fit the style of the animation, making the items look like you could reach into the game and grab them.

While it’s a great addition, it’s likely that Studio MDHR has been moving toward future projects for some time now, with this update serving more as a show of respect for Cuphead and The Delicious Last Course last year. This new update will give players a unique opportunity to appreciate the game’s development alongside those who lovingly created such an iconic title.
