One of the biggest annual video game trade shows in the world, the Tokyo Game Show, just kicked off yesterday, showcasing numerous exciting and upcoming titles from around the world, including Zenless Zone Zero, an urban fantasy action role-playing game by Genshin Impact developer, HoYoverse.

The game was originally announced for PC and iOS, but HoYoverse also confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero will launch on other platforms. Back in August 2023, HoYoverse shared a fascinating real-life urban teaser trailer for Zenless Zone Zero ahead of its Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live showcase. Interestingly, keen-eyed fans had spotted what appeared to be a PlayStation logo on a skateboard in the video. However, no official announcement regarding the game’s launch on PlayStation or other consoles was made during its Gamescom 2023 premiere.

Today, Zenless Zone Zero has taken center stage at the Tokyo Game Show with a surprising announcement. HoYoverse has officially confirmed that the game will launch on consoles. Although there are no specific consoles revealed, it is very likely that Zenless Zone Zero will also be available on the PS5, given that Genshin Impact is already on the platform and Honkai: Star Rail has been announced for a Sony gaming console release soon.

Unfortunately, there is still no scheduled release date for Zenless Zone Zero on all platforms. Given that HoYoverse just had the massive Honkai Star Rail launch earlier this year, it seems that Zenless Zone Zero won’t be hitting the market anytime soon. The game is also still in active development and just had a closed beta program last year, from August 4 to August 8, which offered eager fans an early look at the game and an opportunity to contribute in its improvement.
