Zayn Malik has given an update on his tour after postponing the US leg following the untimely death of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.
Liam died suddenly aged 31 after falling from the third floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires last Wednesday, causing an outpouring of grief and shock around the world.
Zayn, 31, was due to kick off his first solo tour in San Francisco a week later on October 23, but took to his Instagram to tell fans he was rescheduling the US dates.
He wrote: 'In light of this week's heartbreaking loss, I have decided to postpone the US leg of the Stairway to the Sky Tour.
'The dates are being rescheduled for January and I will post them in the coming days once everything is in place. Your tickets are valid for the new dates. I love you all and thank you for your understanding.”

Zayn has now revealed the new dates on his Instagram Stories to share an updated Stairway to the Sky poster, with dates throughout January and February.
The singer will perform seven shows in North America, starting on January 21 in Washington and ending on February 3 in San Francisco.
He will also perform hits from his new album, Room Under the Stairs, at venues in Los Angeles, Los Angeles and New York.
Zayn spent the last six years writing the LP in rural Pennsylvania and it was released in May this year, where it peaked at number three on the UK albums chart.
He is due to embark on a UK tour, performing in Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Wolverhampton and Newcastle next month.
A spokesman for the singer told the PA news agency that his UK dates on November 20 “have not changed”.
