Persona 3 Reload is adding a feature that Persona 4 and 5 had: peeking into the daily activities of other players. This was revealed in the latest Famitsu magazine, which detailed that you can compare your social stat-boosting choices, Social Link progress, and even classroom answer trends.
As translated by Noisypixel, you can see other players’ choices. This can be a way of friendly competition, a chance to see how others navigate the rhythm of school life and shadow-slaying.
“By connecting to the Internet, you can view several statistics, such as what kind of activities all of the players have done on a specific day or bring up a chart to the most commonly answered question in the classroom. The Velvet Room is also introduced, with the usual Fusion, Compendium and Elizabeth’s Requests all shown. Elizabeth’s Requests can range from fusing specific Personas to bringing her items and even taking her somewhere.”

You can also see the most popular choices for in-game activities, offering a potential glimpse into optimal strategies or simply satisfying curiosity. This social element is a lot like systems in later Persona titles from Atlus like Person 4 Golden and Persona 5. It’s a clever way to breathe new life into a classic game, making you feel like you’re playing with others.
Alongside that, Persona 3 Reload brings back the beloved Velvet Room in all its glory. Persona Fusion, the Compendium, and Elizabeth’s ever-changing requests (from fusing specific Personas to fetching items and even taking her on outings) are all present and accounted for, ensuring a satisfyingly familiar experience for returning players.
While this new version doesn’t include the Answer epilogue or the female protagonist option, the focus is firmly on strengthening the core of Persona 3. It won’t be long until Persona 3 Reload comes, as it will be released on February 2, 2024.
