STILL DOESN’T GET IT

What does it take for this prime minister to get the message that Canadians are done with him and his Liberal cronies?

He says the loss of a longstanding Liberal riding stronghold will not change the Liberal strategy moving forward. If that doesn’t send a message that the Liberals need to be turfed out, I don’t know what does.

His absurd belief that the majority of Canadians still have faith in him is astounding. He has no shame. Just go.

POLISH UP THOSE RÉSUMÉS

I can’t figure out who was the most surprised over the byelection win by the Conservatives in the Toronto-St Paul’s riding. The best part for me was that the prime minister seemed reserved when asked for a comment. Nah — he was speechless. Who said silence is golden? In this case, it was platinum.

I suspect there are several Liberal members polishing up their résumés. I’m not so sure you would want to add being the federal finance minister or minister of the environment, or even being the prime minister’s attack poodle, to your résumé.

Actually, I would suspect you might not want to consider even including membership in the Liberal Party of Canada!

TONE-DEAF TRUDEAU

Re: ’I HEAR YOUR CONCERNS’: Trudeau reflects on devastating byelection loss, online, June 25

For more than eight long, costly years, Justin Trudeau has pushed his warped, woke ideology over good governance. His nonsensical war on fossil fuels and reckless spending have has driven up inflation. This means Canadians are now paying more for food, gasoline, home heating, mortgages, rent and just about everything else.

Trudeau will never accept personal blame for losing a riding that had been safe for the Liberals for 30 years. He likely will keep his job thanks to Jagmeet Singh wanting to extract more of his own priorities.

Hopefully, voters will show both of these self-centred elitists, whose high spending and taxing socialist coalition is bankrupting Canada, their anger at the next election.
