Xbox has unveiled the Xbox Game Pass January 2024 lineup, and it’s got some pretty heavy hitters waiting in the wings.
It’s not clear whether this lineup simply represents the first wave of January 2024 Game Pass titles or whether this is your lot; last month, Xbox announced the December lineup all at once, but this January announcement only runs up until around halfway through the month.
At any rate, your first Game Pass title for this month is narrative adventure Close to the Sun, which is available on PC, console, and cloud…right now! How about that?
Tomorrow, World War II battle royale shooter Hell Let Loose hits the service on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and cloud.
Following that, you can look forward to epic open-world RPG adventure Assassin’s Creed Valhalla arriving on PC, console, and cloud on January 9th. It’s a big one, so set aside some time for it if you’re interested.
Also coming to PC, console, and cloud on January 9th is whimsical musical adventure Figment, which should be a nice palette-cleanser after the monster that is Valhalla.
Two games are coming to the service on January 11th: arcade sports game Super Mega Baseball 4 and immersive sim-inspired action-adventure We Happy Few. Both are playable on PC, console, and cloud.
Acclaimed survival horror remake Resident Evil 2 is coming to PC, console, and cloud on January 16th. Our reviewer Dan Hodges really loved this one, and you probably will too if you’re a horror fan.
Lastly, also coming on January 16th, it’s psychological horror thriller Those Who Remain, which will be playable across PC, console, and cloud. It’s a spooky one this month!
Several games are also making their way off the service in January, starting with Grand Theft Auto 5, which is leaving on January 5th (that’s this Friday).
Following that, these titles will also depart on January 15th.
