Xbox has now confirmed that the Xbox Developer Direct January 2024 date has been set for January 18, 2024 as per an announcement from the company’s VP of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg. According to the Xbox Wire, we’ll get updates on a number of games, including Avowed and Machine Head’s Indiana Jones game, which hasn’t been seen since it was announced a couple of years ago.
We were all treated to a bevy of fantastic video game releases throughout 2023, and this year is just as jam-packed. We have compiled a list of all the upcoming 2024 game releases, and January and February are stacked along with titles such as Tekken 8, Persona 3 Reload, and Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. Not only is Q1 2024 stacked, but Xbox Game Pass subscribers get Persona 3 Reload and even more games at no additional cost.

Here’s what games have been confirmed for the Xbox Developer Direct 2024:

The broadcast will also be followed by the annual The Elder Scrolls Online 2024 Global Reveal, which will unveil this year’s next major chapter in the MMO, featuring a new zone, new storyline and “other major features coming in the game’s biggest update this year.”
Xbox Developer Direct January 2024 leaks and rumours
A previously leaked date for a new Xbox Developer Direct is January 25th, 2024. This leak comes courtesy of prominent leaker eXtas1stv. Their post includes a promotional graphic for the event with the date plus YouTube and Twitch symbols to watch it live.
Microsoft’s last Developer Direct took place on January 25th back in 2023. Last year’s promotional art teased the inclusion of developers Ninja Theory, Mojang, Turn 10, and Arkane Austin. The 2024 promotional art shared by eXtas1tv includes developers Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Stoic, and Oxide.
Aside from the included developers, the leaker has also said there could be a shadowdrop release of a new game from Psychonauts 2 developer, Double Fine. The game in question could be either KILN or something else.
It’s not confirmed to be a shadowdrop release exactly like HiFi Rush, but it is a possibility or it could get a release date that is very close. If it is KILN, then fans will be treated to a multiplayer team-based crawler where you play as supernatural beings forever at war.
