Xbox might be working on bringing new features and improvements to its Achievements system. In an interview with Windows Central, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer talks about bringing improvements to the system, which has been largely the same since its original introduction all the way back with the launch of the Xbox 360.

“There’s a hardware roadmap, there’s a service roadmap, maybe there’s even a roadmap for improvements to Xbox achievements, which I know is something that you and many others care about,” Spencer said.

Unfortunately, Spencer doesn’t really offer up any real details in terms of what we can expect with an update to the system. Some of improvements to the system that Xbox players have been asking about for a while have been smaller features, like more visibility for the Games Completed section of the Achievements.

The company is currently gearing up for The Game Awards 2023, for which important announcements have been teased. Announced through an email to Xbox users, the company seems to be ready to unveil some new products at the event. For context, the last time Xbox made a big deal about The Game Awards, it unveiled the Xbox Series X at the event.

Microsoft as a whole is also keen on expanding its other features. Back in November, Xbox CFO Tim Stuart spoke about bringing Game Pass and first-party titles to competing platforms like PlayStation and the Nintendo Switch.
