Team Ninja has announced the release date for the upcoming Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Upheaval in Jingxiang DLC.
The new expansion, which will revolve around Liu Bei, will be released across all platforms on December 12th. It follows on from September’s Conqueror of Jiangdong and June’s Battle of Zhongyuan.
As revealed by Team Ninja in a blog post announcing the DLC’s release date, Upheaval in Jingxiang will depict Liu Bei’s forces battling the “threat of the Elixir that has gripped Jing Province since the death of Yu Ji”.
The DLC will introduce new demon enemies to fight, a “more challenging difficulty level”, and expansion of the endgame content, so it should give you plenty more to do if you’ve finished Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
As well as this DLC, you’re getting another little treat today if you’re a Nioh 2 fan.
Team Ninja has released a free update for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty that adds a Nioh 2 crossover mission, allowing you to battle that game’s Mezuki boss. You’ll be rewarded with a Scampuss Hat for completing the mission.
Nioh 2 is far from the only Soulslike with which Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has collaborated; other teamups include Lies of P and Naraka: Bladepoint.
If you’ve missed out on Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, it’s a Soulslike action RPG created by Nioh and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin developer Team Ninja.
The game is set during the end of the Chinese Han Dynasty and follows a custom-created character as they attempt to purge the land of its corrupted Qi.
As you play through Wo Long, you’ll meet historical figures like Liu Bei, Sun Ce, and Lu Bu, some of whom you’ll get to fight as boss battles (and pretty tough ones at that).
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available right now for PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox platforms. Make sure to take a look at our guides for the game to prep yourself for some of its harder bosses!
