One of the biggest unique selling points of the original release of Cyberpunk 2077 is the inclusion of everyone’s favorite actionman, Keanu Reeves. Playing the ever-moody and oh-so-punk voice in the back of V’s head, Johnny Silverhand exists as the perfect guidance to your narrative. He is anti-establishment, anti-capitalist, and anti-doing anything the man wants. However, with the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, will Johnny Silverhand be making an appearance, or will you finally be left in silence?

Where’s Johnny Silverhand?

PC Invasion

Johnny Silverhand is alive (kind of) and well in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. You can’t keep Johnny Silverhand down, and he’s opinionated as ever. He doesn’t seem to be too happy with you working alongside the government, and nor should he be; it isn’t exactly very Cyberpunk of you.

Johnny Silverhand is pissed with the whole situation. He has been stung before in the past by the selfish and corrupt government. He knows firsthand how they treat their agents, and he also knows that they double back on their promises.

As you work with the president in the new Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty update, you will be given choices to pledge loyalties. Johnny Silverhand will wade in on these choices with his spin on it all. Honestly, working alongside the president to take down an independent state is pretty uncool. I am all with Johnny Silverhand in staying way out of it in Cyberpunk.

However, the entirety of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is about working with the government, and you have little choice otherwise. You become a narc and become the very thing Punk vowed to destroy. Of course, Johnny Silverhand has his opinions about this, but if you choose to play the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, you’re just going to have to put up with his moaning. I wasn’t happy about having to work with the government. So, listening to him bitch about it only made me feel worse.
