The whole social power of video games has forever been at the centre of Haegins’ Play Together, it says as much in the name itself. To wit, the latest event, the Summer Festival, is dedicated to playing with other people. So much so, you have to make friends to even advance it.
The Summer Festival will take place all over Kaia Island, in places like the Plaza, the sea, and pretty much wherever you look. To get into the meat of the event, you will need to strap on your seafaring shoes. Head to the docks, hop on a boat and begin your search for the Festival Chest, just don’t forget your friends.
To find this mystical chest you need to do a bit of fishing. When you find it, however, you are unable to open it yourself, needing the help of other players to get it opened. When you’ve cracked it open, the player who contributed the most will get the highest reward, but everyone will at least get a Regular Festival Chest.
By opening up this mystery – and now slightly damp – chest you might be able to acquire a Commemorative Token. Collect enough and you can trade them with the rather helpfully named Token Guy in the Plaza. You will be able to pick up a fishing rod, banana boat, water machine, parasol, and much more.
If you head to the beach you will also find a pop-up shop, complete with a costume that is perfect to wear for the festival. Complete a string of missions, and you can also pick up the marvelous-sounding Festival Water Cannon. Finally, simply logging in during the attendance event will earn you another costume, Gems, a coupon, and more.
