Starfield lets players have plenty of adventures among the stars, but those amazing journeys often require preparation. A lot of that preparation happens courtesy of the game’s crafting system, but some of the required ingredients can prove quite rare. That’s certainly the case with the uncommon Indicite Wafer. Accordingly, here is our guide telling you where to get Indicite Wafer in Starfield.
Starfield – where to get Indicite Wafer
You’ll need Indicite Wafer to research Helmet Mods 3, Spacesuit Mods 3, and probably other things too. However, it’s one of the least common resources available. To get Indicite Wafer, purchase it from general stores that sell resources.
The most convenient place to get Indicite Wafer is Outland. Simply fast travel to New Atlantis and select the Commercial District as your destination. When you arrive, run forward while watching for the first building on your right, UC Distribution. Just past that building and to your left, you should easily spot the Outland shop. Its shopkeeper will sometimes sell you several Indicite Wafers at a time. They don’t cost much, but they are rather heavy.

If you regularly visit Outland and other such shops, you can slowly build up a supply of most resources. That way, you’ll have plenty on hand by the time you need them. If you haven’t done so already, I suggest buying a home and building some storage crates so you can store a bunch of resources until you need them.
Even if you follow the above advice, you may find yourself needing to get a bunch of Indicite Wafer all at once. That effort will require you to shop at other locations throughout the galaxy. Here are some additional shops to check:
- Apex Electronics (New Atlantis)
- Shepherd’s General Goods (Akila City)
Besides getting Indicite Wafer from established shops, you can sometimes find it at outposts. If no people are around, perhaps it will be lying on a table or in a crate or safe. Anyone you trade with might stock the item, so always check with local vendors. For instance, I just found a trader at the Civilian Outpost on Jemison that sold me several of the wafers.
You might also find Indicite Wafer stored in cargo holds when you board enemy ships. Unfortunately, you can’t get Indicite Wafer by producing it at an Industrial Workbench, the way you can some other resources. You essentially have no choice but to buy it or steal it.
