If you’re here, you’re probably wondering when is the next Helldivers 2 patch? Helldivers 2 has proven very popular so far, with the PlayStation exclusive already one of the biggest PlayStation published PC games on Steam ever since it launched earlier this week.
However, that’s not to say the game has been without its issues – as the game’s surge in popularity has resulted in some technical issues, particularly when it comes to Quickplay and playing online with friends and some major crashes with specific video cards.
Luckily, it seems the team at Arrowhead are currently aware of such issues, and have already been diligently at work fixing up as much as they can. But when can players expect these fixes to manifest as patches? We’ll try and answer that for you here based on the information we have.
When is the next Helldivers 2 patch?
As per a message on the Arrowhead Helldivers 2 Support page, an update for the co-op shooter to try and improve Crossplay was deployed to the PC as of yesterday, February 8. However, the support page also reveals that this patch will be coming to PlayStation consoles ‘in the next four hours’ as of 4pm UK time, February 9.
That means we can say that the next patch will drop on PlayStation by around 8pm UK time on February 9. There’s likely to be more patches across the next week as the game finds its footing, and we’ll try and update when we hear what the next one is. What are the current major known issues with Helldivers 2?
According to the Helldivers 2 Support Known Issues thread, developer Arrowhead is currently working on the following issues as a priority.
The game’s deputy game director offered the following message to fans, thanking them for their patience:
“Sagar here, the Deputy Game Director on Helldivers 2. I know there are a number of issues severely affecting gameplay. In this post, I want to share details about some of the most important ones at the moment, what we understand about them, and what you might be able to do. (What you’ll see here is not exhaustive; we are also tracking further items beyond this list.)
We know that these are big, real issues, and if you get hit by them, it can be immensely frustrating. We are going to make this right. We want you in the galaxy as soon as possible, liberating planet after planet.
Thank you so much for all the work you’ve put into making this the fun, welcoming community of fellow Helldivers we love. It really makes all the difference to us. Every time we see a video of people shooting an unexploded Hellbomb, every time we see you having a surprise 4 minute extraction, and every time we watch a Bile Titan squash you with extreme prejudice… it warms our hearts.”
