It’s been ten years since Grand Theft Auto 5 first came out. We haven’t received a new installment in the legendary series since, but finally, we are set to get a look at what’s coming in the future. Lots of fans predicted Rockstar’s first trailer would come out in October, and these same fans were only wrong by about a month. Rockstar has confirmed when the GTA 6 trailer is coming out, and its release date window is easy to explain.
Grand Theft Auto is arguably the biggest video game series in the world and expectations for GTA 6 are naturally astronomical. It will not be on PS4 or Xbox One, and there are plenty of wishlists from fans. Some fans want to see overhauled police AI similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, meanwhile, others would like to see the introduction of self-driving cars. The first trailer won’t provide a full overview of everything in the game, but it should give us a first look at the open-world setting along with its NPCs and hopefully the protagonists.
When is the GTA 6 trailer coming out?
It’s now officially been confirmed that the first GTA 6 trailer will land on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 as confirmed by Rockstar themselves on their official Twitter account.
While we don’t know what the trailer will exactly entail, the provided artwork seems to confirm the Vice City setting, with a distinctly Miami feel with its pinks and oranges. The release of the trailer falls just in time for the celebration of Rockstar Games’ 25th anniversary. The studio was founded in December 1998, and it has since gone on to become arguably the biggest in the video games industry with massive franchises such as Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption 2, Bully, and others.
Although the trailer is imminent, the game isn’t coming until at least 2025 according to rumors. And, according to more recent rumors, it will debut on PS5 and Xbox before PC thanks to an alleged internal development delay. A delay for PC hasn’t been stated by Rockstar Games, so hopefully, it doesn’t come to fruition.

Where to watch the GTA 6 trailer?
At the time of writing, Rockstar hasn’t confirmed where you’ll be able to watch the GTA 6 trailer. However, it’s a fairly safe bet it will be available to watch on the Rockstar Games official YouTube channel, as well as its X (formerly Twitter) account. We’ll update if we hear of any more places it’ll be shown, but find the links to those two below:

There are only a few more days between now and the month of Christmas, and Rockstar is providing the ultimate gift Grand Theft Auto fans around the world desperately want.
