It often amazes me how SYBO managed to create the most downloaded mobile game of all time without ramming it down our throats, but then they go and whip out quality events for Subway Surfers and I completely understand. So, without further ado, a new mode awaits.
We all know the Floor is Lava from our childhood right – you can’t touch the ground and have to jump from chairs to couches to tables to stay away from the lava that is definitely there. The game either ends when you hit the floor and legally have to melt, or most likely when someone hurts themselves. Well, now you can enjoy this in Subway Surfers.
As you might expect, the aim of this mode is to not touch the floor, who’d have thought? Sounds easy, but the further and faster the gameplay goes, the easier it will be to miss a jump and plummet to your untimely doom. The Floor is Lava is stated to last until April 1st, which has me expecting some sort of tricky twist on the last day, surely.
Excitingly, as you play through this new mode, you will be able to unlock an all-new character to play as; the Red Panda. If you have seen one of these little guys, you know they are adorable. Imagine the complete opposite, as this surfer is a nightmarish red panda humanoid which somehow haunts me.
Besides this fun new way to play, the Subway Surfers World Tour series continues. For the next three weeks, players will be taken to the rolling hills of Ireland. We are set to receive one of SYBO’s biggest holiday updates in history, with new themed characters, hoverboards and outfits revolving around Easter, Holi, April Fool’s Day, and rather fittingly, St Patrick’s Day.
Subway Surfers is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
