Players will be able to choose the protagonist’s clan in Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and today Paradox and The Chinese Room revealed the first playable option, the Brujah.

We also hear the first glimpse of Paradox’s DLC plans. It’s a Paradox game, after all. While four playable clans will be available at launch, two more will be released post-launch as a DLC.

One of the DLC will give “a new way to experience the main game” and the other will offer “a completely unique Seattle story.” For the moment, no further details for the DLC have been shared.

Speaking of the Brujah, choosing this option as the clan for Phyre (the customizable protagonist of the story) will turn them into frontline fighters. The playstyle will focus on brutal melee with abilities to get into the fight quickly and stay there.

The abilities provided by the clan let you charge enemies, drag them around, body slam them into walls, and similar fun antics. You can check out a very brief trailer below and a screenshot above.

We also got a render of what a female Phyre may look like as a Brujah, and you can enjoy that below.

The next playable clan will be revealed next week, so it’s likely that we’re getting a lot of Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 news toward the end of the year, even if we know that a full gameplay reveal will come only in January.
