Amazon's October Prime Day ended on October 9th, but two days later there are still plenty of opportunities to score amazing discounts on top TV brands including Samsung, LG and Sony. Some of these price reductions are extraordinarily generous, as much as $2,000. If you're looking to upgrade your home entertainment setup, these deals offer great value. Feel free to use some of those savings to treat yourself to a fun deal under $25. But don't wait too long because these deals probably won't last much longer.

Note that some Amazon discounts are exclusive to Prime members, but you can find other fall deals at competing retailers like Best Buy and Walmart.

Best post-Prime Day TV deals

Samsung/CNET

It's rare to find a Samsung TV this affordable. This 4K TV is smaller at 43 inches, and while some other brands have 43-inch sets for $200 or even less, if you want a Samsung, this is one of the lowest prices of the season so far. While Amazon's list price offers a $22 discount, it launched at $330 just a few months ago.

Toshiba/CNET

Toshiba's C350 series TV is currently discounted, making it really cheap for a 55-inch TV. This is a Fire TV, so this discount isn't surprising for Prime Day, and like most TVs, it can stream shows and movies from apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and more.

Amazon/CNET

Unlike most TVs, the Fire TV Omni has built-in microphones to enable a hands-free experience through Amazon Alexa. The 65-inch size offers a large image for a relatively low price right now. Just note that this deal is available only to Amazon Prime members.

Samsung/CNET

OLED TVs are expensive, but with $500 off the 55-inch size, this Samsung maintains its previous low price for 2024 so far. We praise the Samsung S90D for its excellent image quality, easy-to-use interface, and great contrast and viewing angles.

LG/Amazon

This is a huge screen size and it's not every day we see something this big from a big brand like LG for under $1,000. Yes, you can find other 85- and 86-inch TVs from other brands for a little less, but it's still a solid deal.

How we picked the best Prime Day TV deals

Many of us at CNET have covered shopping events like Black Friday, Prime Day, Memorial Day and countless others for several years. During this period, we learned how to identify the best offers in a sea of thousands of superficial offers and scams. We feature only the best deals from trusted retailers. When choosing TV deals to show you, we look for real discounts, quality reviews and remaining time on sale.

  • Real discounts mean genuine savings. We check the price history of products listed as on sale, so we know when it's an inflated list price rather than an actual discount.
  • Quality reviews and testing are very important for any product. A discount isn't worth it if it results in a subpar product experience, no matter how much you saved.
  • The remaining sales time is also important. Some offers only last for a short period of time or may be in limited supply. If this is the case, we will let you know in advance so you don't come back to the deal later and be disappointed.

Are Prime Day TV deals worth buying?

Prime Day in October basically kicks off the holiday shopping season with hundreds of deals across categories, especially TVs. Now that the sales are ending, your next shopping event is Black Friday. Prime Day is officially over, so when the above deals start to run out, it's probably worth waiting until next month's Black Friday to buy a TV, if you can wait.

How do October's Prime Day TV deals compare to Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals?

In recent years, October's Prime Day — or Prime Big Deal Days, as it's officially known — has acted as a catalyst for the holiday shopping frenzy that culminates with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Because of its proximity, many of the best TV sales started during October's Prime Day sales and run through the end of November. If you can wait until Black Friday, you'll probably see more deals total on TVs as retailers make room for new TV sets that tend to launch in January. The gulf in discounts isn't very noteworthy, and many of the best Black Friday TV deals tend to be extremely limited in terms of time and supply. If you're looking for a new TV and see something you like that's within your budget, buy it during the Prime Day sales and avoid the November rush.
