Former President Trump Takes Double-Digit Lead in Betting Odds Vice President Kamala Harris For the first time since July, the former president hints at a possible boost as Election Day approaches

Trump opened Sunday with a 10-point lead in the Real Clear Politics betting average, his biggest lead over Harris and the biggest of any candidate since the former president's 10-point lead on July 31.

Lead emerges as something Democratic Circle David Plouffe, who served as a senior adviser to President Barack Obama and now serves as a senior campaign adviser to Harris, appeared on “Pod Save America” to try to calm panic among the ranks after that recent polls seemed to lean toward Trump. “Podcast Sunday argued that race has not fundamentally changed.

“I think it's confusing because there were a bunch of polls that I said last month that showed an advantage for Kamala Harris that wasn't real, that's not what we were seeing. let's say since mid-September, so it's our race, it's a race we've been waiting for, I don't think it's going to be open to any candidate,” Plouffe said.

But the betting odds continue to advance on Trump's Grace, perhaps an indication of strong momentum for the former president in addition to general public opinion.

At one point, Trump enjoyed a more than 48-point Real Clear Politics lead over President Biden on July 15, but that advantage quickly evaporated following the president's announcement that he would drop out of the race and Harris' rapid rise. At the top of the Democratic ticket.

Harris finally took the betting lead in the August 8 race and saw that lead peak at 8.8 points a week later. The two candidates have traded leads several times, and neither candidate enjoyed a lead as large as Trump's lead on Sunday.

Harris' last lead in the Real Clear Politics average was on October 5, with Trump steadily gaining momentum en route to a 10-point lead on Sunday.

Trump himself touted his betting advantage in recent days, telling Fox News' Maria Bartiromo on Sunday that the betting odds were “through the roof” in his favor.

The Real Clear Politics Betting Odds Average tracks seven different platforms that publish odds; Betfair, Betsson, Bovada, Bwin, Points Bet, Polymarket and Smarkets. None of these platforms show Harris leading the race. Trump enjoys his biggest lead of 12 points in the points bet.

Neither Trump nor Harris' campaign immediately responded to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
