From toys to new positions Experimenting with sex will help you find out what really turns you on.
And now an emerging sexual trend suggests we want to have double the fun between the sheets.
Exclusive broadcast statistics Subway with porn audio site BLOOM shows that searches related to double penetration on the site have increased by 453% in the last year.
The act of double penetration (often called simply “DP”) involves penetrating the woman or the owner of the vulva. two holes at the same time – vagina and mouth, mouth and anus, or vagina and anus.
You can enjoy it as a solo masturbation, with a partner or with two other people. If there are three adults involved, two people will penetrate and one will receive, but if there are only two people, the penetrating partner will have to use his penis and a toy, or a finger, or two toys.
While it may seem a little, well, pornographic – and DP is often portrayed as a hardcore experience – there are many ways to enjoy it in a setting that you may find more comfortable.
In fact, sexologist Gigi Engle suggests trying it on your own first.
Gigi tells Subway: “Just be careful with any anal penetration due to the risk of tearing or pain. You don't want to do this on a whim because it can be painful.

“When it comes to anal penetration and vaginal penetration, I would recommend practicing on your own first if you are the one being penetrated.
“You want to make sure you like the stimulation and that it's not too much – the more lubricant the better.”
Gigi says many people like a “really good feeling of fullness.”
He adds: “Many people enjoy having multiple holes stimulated at the same time. The anal opening is full of nerve endings and can be really pleasurable.
“But many people who experience double penetration will likely still need to stimulate their clitoris. Many women require this to orgasm, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Gigi says the surge in DP interest is likely due to its popularity in porn.
“It's very visually stimulating,” he says. “It is sexually attractive to both the receiving partner and the penetrating partner in terms of power play.”
“There are also more women and vulva owners who are interested in being desired in this way, while a positive attitude towards sex makes people more likely to have these experiences.”
However, as with any group sex experience, it is important to trust your partners.
Gigi says: “If the situation is two men penetrating a woman, the woman may feel uncomfortable or afraid to defend herself.
“You want to make sure you're with people who make you feel safe.”
If you feel ready and prepared to get involved in DP, Gigi also has several sex positions when it comes to three partners.
In the first position, one penetrating partner lies on the sofa or bed, then the anally penetrated partner lies on him. The second penetrating partner then kneels in front and penetrates the vagina.
Another way is to have your partner in the doggy style position, with one partner kneeling in front for oral penetration and the other kneeling in the back for vaginal or anal penetration.
The last one is a straight cowgirl with a second penetrating partner behind her.
If you want to “increase the effectiveness of double penetration,” Gigi recommends adding sex toys, including clitoral stimulators.
If you're flying solo, Vac-U-Lock – Dual Penetration or Kata – Pulse and Dual Penetration Vibrator will work well.
