Fortnite’s Battle Pass is one of the best progression systems available in video games. It features over a hundred rewards, including many skins and V-Bucks. What makes this system so special is its exclusivity. In other words, cosmetics from it never return to the game, which makes them very valuable.

Due to their exclusivity, Battle Pass cosmetic items are among the rarest items in the game. Skins like Black Knight and Omega will never return, and Fortnite players who own them don’t have to worry about the decrease in their rarity. However, the latest community suggestion would make these items less exclusive and would ruin the game in the long run.

Reddit user good_guy_red recently posted a thread about Fortnite Battle Pass skins returning, which has been a popular topic in the community. For some reason, many players believe that Epic Games will bring some old Battle Pass cosmetics back at some point. Furthermore, a lot of them hope that this will happen.

“I’m a brand new player and Star Wars fanatic. I can never get Mando or Darth Vader simply because I didn’t like building so I never played,” SongsForTheDeft wrote, and many players agreed with them. Others pointed out that players are tired of the FOMO (fear of missing out) strategy, and that Epic should bring back the exclusive cosmetics.

“Something needs to get done eventually either through releasing old BPs or having more reskins of characters that are locked away in BPs,” Te545688 proposed. While this sounds like a good idea, it will be interesting to see if the development team will do something about it.

Bringing back the exclusive cosmetics would ruin the game in the long run. Not only would players suffer, but Epic would as well. Right now, many players purchase the Battle Pass since it’s a great deal. For 950 V-Bucks, they can get a lot of cosmetics while also earning their V-Bucks back. At the same time, these cosmetics need to be unlocked by leveling, which is something that benefits Epic Games.

While it’s unfortunate that some cosmetics are no longer available, such as Darth Vader and Lara Croft, Epic will likely release their reskins at some point. Releasing the original skins to the Item Shop could cause a lot of backlash, and players certainly wouldn’t be happy with it.

In the meantime, it is possible to earn free Fortnite skins. Furthermore, the free tier of Battle Pass has 300 free V-Bucks as well. Leveling up in Chapter 5 is quite easy and reaching level 100 requires under 30 hours with quests. Additionally, Fortnite XP maps grant a massive leveling boost every day.
