Some of you may have seen a Lords of The Fallen image pop up on the CI Games Community Page, but that wasn’t supposed to go up. The image is now gone, and it’s clear that it reveals some information the developer may not want out just yet. Luckily, many users have saved it and we can garner a lot of information from it.
A user on Reddit made a post discussing everything revealed about Lords of the Fallen, and you can see the image from the post but we will discuss everything here. The Redditor does a good job of summarizing:
- 4 Years of development with 400 developers
- A Total of 30 Bosses
- 336 Armor Pieces
- 196 Weapons and Shields
- 13 Total Playable Classes (4 are secret classes)
- 76 Spells
- 3 Endings
As Lords of the Fallen gets closer to the release date, we can use this to tell us a lot about it. Thirty bosses are a lot of bosses, which means there’s going to be a lot of content for players. More bosses mean more gameplay, areas, and different strategies you have to learn to beat them. When a new boss appears, it’s definitely a good thing, and seeing over two dozen here is astonishing.
On a side note, what really has me surprised is the 400 developers all working remotely. As the leaked image states, it’s a fully remote studio with 90 of those developers working internationally. That’s incredibly impressive and makes it seem like other studios could stand to allow developers to work remotely.
There is a huge debate in every industry about whether people actually need to show up to work. In my experience as a journalist in this industry, people work really hard to get their jobs to begin with, normally doing it for free at first. So many of us don’t need someone constantly watching us like children, we want to be here. In this industry, people don’t need to be constantly watched, unless you want to force your staff to crunch.
Even though the staff may not have worked in the same office, seeing all these bosses from a remote studio shows we’re going to have a great game.
