After a bevy of recent leaks, Naughty Dog and Sony have officially announced The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, which will bring the acclaimed action-adventure title to the PlayStation 5 in enhanced and expanded form a couple of months from now. And though the price of the remaster has yet to be officially confirmed, there’s some good news for those who already own the original game.
Naughty Dog has confirmed that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will offer an upgrade path. Rather than having to purchase it at full price, those who already own the original game on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the remaster for a price of $10. Additionally, players will also be able to import their saves from the original version to the remaster.
Meanwhile, Naughty Dog has also revealed The Last of Us Pat 2 Remastered W.L.F. Edition, which, in addition to the game itself, will also include a steelbook case, four enamel pins, a Washington Liberation Front Patch, and a total of 47 Society of Champions trading cards, including eight holographic cards. As those who’ve played the game will remember, these cards could be found as collectible in-game items.
The W.L.F. Edition will be sold exclusively through PlayStation Direct, and only in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Benelux, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Austria. Check out what the W.L.F. Edition will look like in the image below.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered launches for PS5 on January 19.
