This latest installment in the Terrifier franchise is a continuation of the brutal horror unleashed by Art the Clown, a character who has now become an icon of modern horror for his relentless brutality.

In Terrifier 3, Art's reign of terror continues, once again targeting Sienna Shaw, who narrowly escaped his attacks in the previous film.

Sienna, played by actress Lauren LaVera, confronts art in a deadly confrontation that is gruesome, with scenes of beheadings, mutilations and visceral body horror.

The Terrifier franchise, which launched in 2016, quickly gained a cult following due to its intense violence and over-the-top death scenes.

The first film, in which Art the Clown dismembered a victim with a hacksaw, shocked audiences with its gruesome murder sequences.

Its sequel, Terrifier 2, went viral last year after reports emerged of audiences fainting and vomiting in theaters due to its graphic content.

Now, with Terrifier 3, León has doubled down on the carnage and taken it to new and disturbing levels.

Despite Australia's strict film censorship laws, Terrifier 3 was approved for theatrical release with strict caveats.

The film's popularity has increased its appeal to horror fans who regularly fill theaters across the country.

Earlier this month, two people fainted during an early preview at a Perth cinema.

According to several witnesses, a young woman ran out of the room and fell down the stairs of the cinema, seriously injuring herself.

Australian horror film critic Emma Clarke has released her review of David Lyon's controversial new horror thriller.

The Rotten Tomatoes-verified reviewer said two people fainted in front of him during a screening he attended at Innalloo Cinemas in Perth over the weekend.

The first faints during the opening scene, which he shared on YouTube in his movie review, and the second near the end of the scene with the two houses.

'Can you tell me… why two people fainted in front of me during that movie?' she said.

“They were both trying to run down the stairs to go to the bathroom because they were feeling so nervous.”

The horror movie fan said he spoke to the two and tried to help them while sitting directly behind them.

The first person left with a friend who came to check on him and the second was a young Australian woman.

'This poor girl broke her head when she fell down the stairs and I felt really bad for her. I went to check on him later,” Clarke said.

'She got help. She was with her friend. It really shook me too. “It really took me out of the picture at that moment.”

Sharing his thoughts on horror films from the past four years, the critic said audiences have never seen such a visceral reaction to a film.

Clarke described the third installment of Leon's series, which premieres nationwide on Thursday, October 11, as “funny, serious, brutal, disturbing and superior.”

“I'm not used to the horror of hurting people, so it was a very strange experience,” he said.

'Before anyone says they are paid actors, I saw the girl and she had bruises. They are both very young. To be honest, I feel really miserable.”

“Trying to help them was a very scary moment.”
