Mobile gamers were recently able to get their hands on BROK the InvestiGator, a point-and-click following the adventures of the titular reptile, a detective who can solve crimes through wit or brawn. If you were one that chose the latter then buckle up, as developers Cowcat have announced a combat-packed DLC titled The Brawl Bar.
After solving a few crimes and battling a few baddies, our hero Brok heads into the Slums and stumbles upon an underground bar. Once inside he discovers it to be a fight club of course, and ever the eager pugilist, enlists to face new challenges and prove himself the ultimate fighter.
The Brawl Bar features ten new characters to meet, get to know, and then undoubtedly smack the holy hell out of. You will take on over 60 new challenges, such as a platform-flavoured item hunt, or dispatching enemies with only dynamite, which sounds more like a reward than a challenge. You can even enjoy a new Boxer outfit for our hero.
There are a host of new music, stages and hazards to get to grips with, as well as a Survival mode. The battles may get tough, but you can draft in your friends for a bit of co-op to even the odds. Or, if you are feeling feisty, throw down and have a local tournament to see who amongst you is the brawl king.
Now that you are all hyped up for this release, I am going to knock you down a bit. There is no release date as of yet, and even when we get one, The Brawl Bar will be PC-exclusive first. Sad times, but won’t the wait be worth it to knock the hell out of all comers as everyone’s favourite Gator Detective?
BROK the InvestiGator can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play now, complete with the first chapter being playable for free. After that, you can buy each additional chapter, of which there are five, for $1.99, or at a bundle price of $7.99
