After tense debates in the first round — marked by chair shots and punches — the first meeting between Ricardo Nunes (MDB) and Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) in the second round had “relaxed” rules. No bolted stools or movement restrictions. In Band, the two candidates for mayor of São Paulo were able to move freely and met face to face on several occasions. There was even room for tight hugs between opponents. However, the dynamic produced exaggerated reactions from the audience, complaints about non-compliance with the rules and scolding from the host.
When Poulos came to debate with his vice president, Marta Saplici (PT), Nunes chose the company of his wife, Regina, and children. He entered the studio after greeting the advisers and associates who occupied the right side of the audience. “There's an intruded press here,” quipped the vice-chancellor as he showed off the socks he'd chosen for the occasion — a personalized piece printed with the PSOL number.

Moments later, the report caught Nunes' deputy, Mello Araujo, looking for a seat. As he could not find an empty seat on the left side of the studio reserved for MDB, he had to sit on the opponent's side.

Then, Nunes arrived and was greeted with applause and shouts of “Mayor.” Paulus was in the pulpit and showed no reaction. After speaking with advisers and guests, Nunes crossed the stage to occupy his pulpit, and as he passed Poulos, he greeted his opponent in a friendly atmosphere.

Silence reigned for most of the first block, with very isolated and fearful reactions. But little by little the audience became relaxed. The MDB team couldn't help but laugh until Nunes said he didn't know what it was like to work for Boulos. Poulos did not leave it lightly, saying that precisely on a day when the people of São Paulo were facing a “dark push”, his opponent was talking about work. Then, the party that supported the soloist applauded and laughed at his speech.
The clash of reactions proved to be a slur on host Eduardo Onigue. Even so, it didn't take long for a new demonstration from the audience. Poulos drew more laughter when Nunes dropped a piece of paper on the floor and told his opponent, “Be careful, be quiet.” As the producer's repeated warnings were ignored, the Nunes group's applause was soon muffled by members of Poulos's campaign: “For the love of God, xiu!”
Producing reactions, the physical proximity between the candidates allowed them to move freely on stage. When Boulos got too close, Nunes' marketing team complained. In the second block there was even a nervous hug in response to an approach. Nunes put his hand on his opponent's shoulders and, amid laughter, said he wasn't afraid.

Between the second and third blocks, the report saw marketers complaining about band production. One of them, Duda Lima [que levou um soco de um assessor de Marçal em debate no 1º turno] He complained to host Oniku and an argument ensued. “This guy is bothering me,” complained the broker. It was up to Nunes to try to cool things down with Teuda at his side, preparing for the debate and with Fernando Mitter, the band's director of journalism, in the audience.

After the debate, Terra asked Leandro Ciboloni what happened with Nunes' marketing team. According to him, Poulos broke one of the rules of confrontation — which talked about making sudden gestures to break the candidate's concentration — but they were ignored by the production. “But Nunes didn't lose focus and we complained about the violation,” Ciboloni said.
After Poulos launched a challenge, the debate ended with much applause from both sides and shouts of “uncover”: Pzolist claimed to have a “clean financial life” and revealed his banking secrets, and he questioned. Will the present mayor have the guts to do the same?
