With the end of Season 4 still fresh in viewers' minds, the latest news Hugo Weaving discusses Slow horses Season 5. The famous actor appeared throughout Season 4 as the villainous Frank Harkness, and now he has provided an interesting answer to his character's potential return. When asked if he would come back, Weaving simply encouraged viewers to check out the source material (Mick Herron's London Regulations). I can't talk about it, but suffice it to say that people who have read the books know that Frank does indeed come back. At the end of the finale, Frank manages to escape from everything and survive another day. So you have to ask yourself, “Will we see him again?” We probably could.

I would like to see how his relationship with River develops. Jack Lowden is a fantastic actor and gives River great humanity. Working with him was a real pleasure.

Despite Slow horses The debut of season 4 is still so fresh that the fate of the next season has long been decided. In January 2024, news broke that Apple TV+ had been renewed Slow horses season 5a full nine months until the final debut of Season 4. This extreme vote of confidence confirms the continued popularity of the spy thriller series, but also signals Apple's commitment to maintaining the series' tight schedule.

Slow Horses season 5 story details

Season 5 will be an adaptation of “The London Rules”

In accordance with the “book per season” rule in the series, season 5 will focus on Herron's fifth novel, London Regulations. In the book, an aspiring MP goes on a political rampage as he and his tabloid journalist wife focus on MI5 and its many weaknesses. Meanwhile, a series of seemingly random terrorist attacks point to a candidate for mayor of the West Midlands. At Slough House, the team struggles with their usual personal problems, but also tries to decipher whether their newest member is a true psychopath.

In addition, someone is trying to kill Roddy Ho and it's up to the team to unite forces (as best they can) and get to the bottom of the would-be killer's case. While it's unclear how close the post-book season will be, London Regulations is definitely more political in nature and covers issues such as Brexit and immigration. Slow horses Season 5 feels like a big step forward for the popular spy series, and each new detail makes it sound more and more exciting.
