Bandai Namco has released a new Tekken 8 trailer that gives us a look at what we can expect from the game’s Ultimate Edition package.
If you pick up the Ultimate Edition when Tekken 8 launches in January, you’ll get gold suit costumes for all 32 fighters in the game, making them look significantly more snazzy.
This includes suits for characters like Kazuya and Jack-8, as well as Panda, who looks simply adorable in her gold suit.
In addition to these gold suits, picking up the game’s Ultimate Edition will also net you some neat avatar goodies; you’ll get a classic 32-shirt Tekken set, as well as skins for Kazuya, Jin, and Jun.
This version of the game also includes the Year 1 Pass, which will grant you four playable characters as and when they’re released.
We don’t yet know who those characters will be, nor do we know when they’ll launch, but fan favorites who haven’t been confirmed for Tekken 8 include Eddy Gordo, Anna Williams, and Lei, as well as Heihachi Mishima (although the latter has a good reason not to appear, given he’s technically dead).
Tekken 8 is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on January 26th.
It’s the eighth mainline installment in the Tekken series, and it’ll revolve around the ongoing Mishima-Kazama family saga, which will likely come to a head in the game’s story mode.
Of course, outside of the story campaign, you’ll also be able to fight opponents locally and online, and you’ll even be able to kill time by playing Tekken Ball in Tekken 8‘s online lobby.
