Taylor Swift rubs Brittany Mahomes' pregnant belly after she endorsed Harris

The hand touched Brittany Mahomes Taylor Swift's pregnant belly.

Mahomes is pregnant with her third child with NFL star Patrick Mahomes. The quarterback's wife posted a photo on Instagram on Wednesday, showing Swift rubbing her baby bump. The photo was taken during the Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night.

“Same girls, new belly,” the caption under the post said.

This was the first time Mahomes and Swift were seen together at a Chiefs game this season.

It was also the first time the pair had been seen together at all since Swift publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris on September 10.

In her Instagram post, Swift did not mention any specific political stance regarding her support for Harris. However, in the past, Swift has advocated for abortion, LGBT rights, and gun control in numerous interviews. Guardian in 2019, when she stated that she believed in telling people who to vote for, despite not watching the news for her “mental health”.

Swift has supported Democratic candidates since 2018, when she endorsed Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper in the 2018 US midterm elections in Tennessee.

Swift's endorsement of Harris drew a loud response from former President Donald Trump, whom Mahomes was attached to supporting. On September 15, Trump posted a message on his Truth Social platform that read, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” and in a September 11 interview on “Fox & Friends,” the former president said he “likes Mahomes a lot more” than Quick.

Swift had not been seen in the same room as Mahomes since they were at the US Open men's singles final on September 9, when they were seen hugging, until Monday evening.

Mahomes has been linked to numerous displays of support for Trump via social media since mid-August.

It started with a simple Instagram, like Trump's 2024 political platform on August 13. Similar photos quickly spread across social media channels, sparking such a backlash that the pregnant mother posted additional statements to defend herself and her beliefs. Mahomes later liked the comment “TRUMP-VANCE 2024” on one of her Instagram posts.

Many of Swift's online fan sites contributed to the spread of screenshots of Mahomes' initials as well as Trump's political platform, prompting much of the backlash against Swift's friend.

Mahomes' husband, Patrick, defended her political influence and praised her after Trump praised her for Swift on 9/11.

“I think you can see that Brittany does a lot for the community,” the 28-year-old QB said. “I do a lot in the community to help educate people and give them the opportunity to use their voice,” he said. “In political times, people will benefit from things here and there, but I can't let that affect how I go about my business every day and try to live it to the best of my ability.”

Patrick himself said he would not support any political candidate, but encouraged Americans to do what is right for “their families.”

“At the end of the day, it's about me and my family and how we treat other people,” he said.

Brittany and Patrick were born and raised in East Texas and started dating while attending Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. Whitehouse is a town of about 8,500 people that has historically voted Republican, according to Data USA. The couple married in March 2022 and shares two children, 3-year-old daughter Sterling Skye and 1-year-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.

Shortly after an investigation began that revealed Brittany was liking Trump's Instagram content, Patrick wished her a happy birthday on August 31.

On a recent episode of the “Whoop” podcast, Brittany said she leaned on her three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback husband to help guide her through the recent public scrutiny.

“Him helping me through it helped me a lot because he's very good at managing these things and blocking people and doing that type of stuff,” she said. “Having him around and kind of guiding me and coaching me through it helped a lot. I think we kind of got to where we are now.

“I think the most important thing he always told me was, 'Stop caring what people think, especially people who don't even know you,'” she said. “That's why I think I used to be very drawn to social media, and now, honestly, I don't care what people say about me anymore.”

Meanwhile, Swift's boyfriend and Patrick's teammate Travis Kelce have also not endorsed the upcoming election or commented on her or his own political positions since Swift's endorsement.

However, in March, Kelce told the Los Angeles Times that he and Swift had shared values ​​since they started dating just a few months earlier, both 33 years old.

“I think the values ​​that we have and just, you know, who we are as people,” Kelce said when asked why he thinks people are so fascinated by their relationship. “We love shining a light on others, shining a light on people who help and support us. And beyond that, I feel like we both just have a love for life.”
