Nintendo Switch owners in North America can now claim Creepy Tale 2 free of charge. The freebie is part of the second day of Switchmas Wonderland, a generous initiative that will see indie publisher No Gravity Games give away 11 Nintendo Switch games throughout December.
The promotion started on December 11, when the publisher gave away the Nintendo Switch version of Nonograms Prophecy, a content-packed puzzler featuring more than 380 levels and three game modes. Originally released in late 2019, this internally developed title from No Gravity Games normally retails at $3.99, thus offering quite a lot of bang for the buck.
Nintendo Switch Online Surprises Fans With 3 N64 Games
Nintendo surprises Switch Online subscribers by adding three more Nintendo 64 games to its lineup of retro titles.
The company is now following up on that gift with a much more valuable freebie in the form of accessible horror game Creepy Tale 2, which is regularly priced at $14.99 on the Nintendo eShop. As was the case with Nonograms Prophecy, Switch owners in North America only have 24 hours to claim this title. However, there’s a catch in that taking advantage of this and all subsequent Switchmas Wonderland offers requires owning all of the freebies that preceded it. In this instance, that’s just Nonograms Prophecy.
No Gravity Games is also making it easier to jump into the promo midway by discounting the featured titles just as the window for claiming them for free closes. Nonograms Prophecy is hence currently priced at $1.99, or half off. While the offer arrives as part of Switchmas Wonderland, which concludes in eight days, the promotional price will actually be live for a while longer. Specifically, the Nonograms Prophecy eShop page reveals that its half-off deal runs until January 2, 2024.

In other words, even those who missed out on the first day of Switchmas Wonderland and don’t already own Nonograms Prophecy can still take advantage of this chain event for just $1.99. Although the publisher hasn’t shared a list of its planned freebies in advance, looking at No Gravity Games’ 12 Games of Christmas giveaway from 2022 does offer some hints about what to expect in the coming days. For example, Creepy Tale 2 was featured in both promos, although Nonograms Prophecy has only been given away this year.
The publisher plans to maintain this pace of giving away a game per day over the course of the next week. And then there’s the grand finale scheduled for December 20, when two games will be given away in a single day. No Gravity Games has published 40 Nintendo Switch titles to date, meaning that the Switchmas Wonderland promo will see it give away nearly one-third of its catalog for the hybrid console.
