Supercell has launched a Monster-Hunting MMORPG named MO.CO, which is made for mobile devices that use Android. It is a PvP game but a lot of the description seems to be geared toward PvE. It is currently just in beta but you can install it today.

You can play this on Google Play only because it’s not announced for Apple just yet. Here’s a trailer for the beta.

The game has expeditions across parallel worlds where you’ll find yourself on the trail of many monsters, each possessing its own abilities and presenting a set of challenges. The spoils of victory over bosses come in the form of weapons and armor, assets that enhance your reputation as a monster hunter. These treasures will be essential in your journey to take down increasingly menacing foes.

Your ability to craft and equip gear is an aspect of your hunting career. The materials gleaned from your hard-fought battles against monsters can be fashioned into an array of equipment, all of which can be customized to align with your playstyle. The game’s mechanics are promised to be layered with complexity that unfolds gradually. Your arsenal of hunting tools and gadgets can be expanded and enhanced as you progress in your hunting career. Unlocking and upgrading these resources is said to be essential in the game.

You can seek bite-sized escapades like quick monster hunts spanning mere minutes or play for long stretches. There are no constraints imposed by a rigid schedule. You can play with friends and form hunting parties to tackle these challenges together. Solo play is totally an option though.

It’s not like any other game from Supercell that we’ve seen before because this feels more action-oriented than regular Supercell games. We’ll keep an eye on this one but it may show a new future for the company.
