Fresh from their appearances in Identity V, a crossover I still can’t wrap my head around, Sanrios’ My Melody and Kuromi are making their way to the much more family-friendly world of Play Together. You can undertake a variety of missions featured after the two, and enjoy quite the expansion in the bug-related arena.
To help out the hungry inhabitants of Kaia Island, the ever-helpful Sanrio characters have decided to start a delivery service, but they need your help to do it. Team up with My Melody to head out to source the best ingredients, and then head back to the kitchen to help cook. Then, get your skates on with Kuromi to get that food to the starving faces of the world.
As you complete these missions you will start to fill your purse with My Melody & Kuromi Coins, as well as a draw ticket that will give you a shot at nabbing one of the many Sanrio items up for grabs. These include costumes, vehicles, and furniture. If you liked the previous outfits from the Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll collabs, you will want to check this out.
Speaking of cute, let’s go the entire opposite direction and talk about those summer-time pests; bugs. Aspiring entomologists will be able to add 20 additional insects to their collection, including new types of butterflies and a stag beetle. If you want one of the latter then make sure you set a calendar reminder for July 13th when the Stag Bettle Hunt Kicks off.
Also kicking off July 13th until the 24th is the Summer Vacation Memories event. This is a photo contest set across four themes; Midsummer Night Camping, Fun Times on the Water, Summer Insect Know-It-All, and “Beautiful Summer Sky. They will run for three days sequentially, and just entering a photo you will have a chance to earn Gems and Stars. If you happen to get an average score of 4.5, you will also get a special event profile to show off your skills.
Play Together is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
