Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Games released a video with plenty of gameplay and new information about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
The video is mostly about the “Support Squad,” a group of supervillains and characters who do exactly what it says on the tin.
We already saw the first one in the previous showcase, and it’s Penguin, which will provide a variety of guns from various unlockable brands.
Another interesting character is Toyman, a boy genius who can modify and create melee weapons. On the other hand, Gismo will provide combat vehicles.
Hack is another character who does what is said on the tin, pretty much hacking the world about you letting you unlock plenty of abilities for your characters.
The last villainess mentioned is a bit of a spoiler, so if you want your first playthrough to be spoiler-free, don’t watch the video beyond the 7:38 mark (where it says “Warning! Spoilers Ahead”), and don’t read under the video below.
The last member of the support squad is basically a rebloomed Poison Ivy following the events of Batman: Arkham Knight.
Of course, there’s a twist, she’s now a little girl and she just goes by the name “Ivy” without the “Poison” (and will call you a weirdo if you call her “Poison Ivy.”
Obviously, the change causes quite a bit of frustration for Harley Quinn, which is quite hilarious. Yet, Ivy can still control plants and she’s quite eager to take the fight to Brainiac and the aliens.
It’s worth mentioning that if you just want to play the story without much detour, you can pretty much ignore the Support Squad, as you have all the tools to complete the game.
We also hear that the next video showcase will focus on revealing the post-launch content coming for the game.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch in less than two months on February 2, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, following the latest delay announced in April.
