Venice is one of the oldest and most visited cities in the world due to its rich history and beautiful architecture. With its historic canals flowing throughout the city, there’s particular attention to the design of the bridges which the developer at Naïve Studios wanted to bring forth. The way they’re doing that is with their recently released game for iOS, Venice Bridges. It gives you the chance to tour around the canals while saving Italy at the same time!

You play the role of a Venetian Gondolier who finds one day that the entire populace are suffering from a mysterious illness, brought about by a group of Plague Doctors that have invaded the city to spread decay and destruction. Luckily, the Gondolier remains unaffected and has the means to fight back.

To restore Venice, you must visit all the different town districts and rebuild bridges throughout the city to put it back together. Using the magic of your gondola, you need to draw out the Plague Doctors’ forces with cunning distractions and traps whilst gaining the power of church bells that you’ll collect throughout the various maps. There are over 30 different districts and 3 worlds on your journey trying to stop the Plague Doctors before reaching a climax at the world-famous Rialto Bridge.

For the truly casual player, you can select a mode that lets you explore Venice at your own leisure. Row your gondola through the city and get a feel for all the districts before diving into battle against the Plague Doctors. Venice Bridges are waiting to be raised and crossed by you on all iOS devices through the App Store for $3.99 and no in-game purchases to break the flows of the canals.
