Starfield modders don’t waste any time, and they’ve already gotten around to offering up plenty of cool mods for those playing the space RPG on PC to give their experience a little bit of an unusual twist.
A couple of unusual ones are quickly growing in popularity, however, and that’s mods related to your flashlight in the game. Ever since the famous Duct Tape mod for Doom 3, flashlight mods have proven a particularly bountiful well of comedy – and of course, the obvious one that everyone wants is to make their handheld torches a Batsignal. Props then to MutedQueen who’s already made this fantastic mod for the Starfield flashlight that adds a Batsignal to your torch and let you explore while emboding the spirit of the Caped Crusader.
It’s not the only flashlight mod, of course – and this next one is a little sillier. But of course, with Starfield now an Xbox exclusive thanks to Microsoft’s purchase of Bethesda a couple of years ago, there’s a mod that celebrates that by having one of the company’s top figures grace your screen every time you turn on your flashlight, should you so choose. The Phil Spencer flashlight mod, as brought to our attention by Tom Warren, allows players to have the head of Xbox stare back at them whenever they turn their light on. Granted, it’s not the most exciting picture of Phil used, with a rather neutral expression, but hey – if you want to have Mr Spencer in your game, then go nuts. You can find this mod – thanks to Maquinaermos – over on the Nexus Mods website.
