Star Wars: Hunters finally launches in June

Publisher Zynga and co-developers NaturalMotion Games and BossAlien have announced a release date for Star Wars: Hunters, their free-to-play third person arena combat game.

Star Wars: Hunters is set to finally launch on June 4th across Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android as a free-to-play game. The game was originally announced way back in 2021.

“We are beyond excited to welcome fans across the globe to Vespaara,” Sam Cooper, Zynga VP, said. “We can’t wait for gamers to meet our Hunters and hop into the Arena. There are so many fun twists and winks to recognizable, beloved Star Wars settings, creatures, and themes within our game that we also are eager to see players worldwide get the chance to discover. Can’t wait to see you in the Arena.”

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:

In Star Wars: Hunters, teams of four will square off in fast-paced, competitive matches set across various battlefields inspired by iconic Star Wars biomes, such as the ice planet Hoth and the forest moon of Endor. Choose from a roster of diverse, bombastic Hunters, such as J-3DI, a droid who thinks he is a Jedi, and Utooni, two Jawas stacked atop one another in a trenchcoat. Each Hunter boasts their own unique set of abilities to aid them as they strive for glory in the Arena, the marquee attraction on the new planet of Vespaara.

Star Wars: Hunters features a number of game modes for players to test their mettle, such as Squad Brawl, in which opposing teams will battle to rack up the most eliminations, and Trophy Chase, where competing teams will vie for control of the elusive droid TR0-F33.
