Honkai: Star Rail has unveiled the details for all the events set to run during the game’s Version 2.1 update, including anniversary rewards, new gacha banners and plenty more. The massively popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse has brought a plethora of new content for players throughout its most recent updates. Version 2.0 saw the introduction of Penacony to Honkai: Star Rail, introducing multiple new characters and areas to explore with the debut of the first new playable world. Now, Version 2.1 will celebrate the game’s first anniversary with a bang.
HoYoverse has already offered plenty of insight about the multitude of gifts for players to celebrate Honkai: Star Rail‘s first anniversary. The recent Version 2.1 Special Program confirmed the suite of free login rewards running during the update, offering 20 Star Rail Special Passes as a seven-day login bonus and 1,600 Stellar Jades. HoYoverse also announced several live events taking place at different locations around the world to commemorate Star Rail‘s anniversary. Now, fans are getting a better idea of what to expect from Honkai: Star Rail‘s in-game celebrations.

The recently released “Version 2.1 Event Overview” shares the full details about everything players can expect from Honkai: Star Rail‘s next update. Version 2.1’s “Cosmodyssey” event will celebrate the anniversary with Stellar Jades, a new in-game phone wallpaper, and valuable resources like Self-Modeling Resin and Tracks of Destiny. Two new events will be added to the game with “Vignettes in a Cup” as Version 2.1’s main event, alongside “Tides of War” in the second half. “Realm of the Strange” and “Planar Fissure” will also return with new “300%” variants, offering increased drop rates for Relics and Planar Ornaments.

Alongside the plethora of events in Version 2.1, the newest Honkai: Star Rail patch will introduce three playable characters to the game. Acheron is set to debut during Version 2.1’s first half as Star Rail‘s version of Honkai Impact 3rd‘s Raiden Mei, alongside Gallagher as a four-star character. Star Rail is set to introduce Aventurine during the second half of the update as an Imaginary Preservation character. Version 2.1 will also feature two re-runs of popular five-star characters, with Luocha and Jingliu both returning to the limited banner.
Honkai: Star Rail‘s first anniversary celebrations will mark the end of a launch year filled with accolades for HoYoverse’s newest RPG. Star Rail debuted to overwhelming success early last year, quickly amassing tens of millions of downloads from players excited to dive into the Genshin Impact studio’s next project. Honkai: Star Rail has even matched the impressive markers set by its predecessor, nearly topping Genshin Impact‘s revenues in February.
